Interior glass, frames, and sills
Each pane cleaned with the frame and sill it sits in, because dust left on a sill is the first thing that moves back onto clean glass. Divided lites and grids get the edges detailed rather than wiped across.

Window cleaning in Eden Prairie
Glass is the only surface you look through, so it shows every shortcut. We clean reachable interior and exterior glass with the tracks, sills, and screens included.
Glass, tracks, screens, sills
Streaks are rarely the glass. Dirt sits in the track, the screen holds a layer of pollen, and the first drop of water running off a dirty sill goes straight down the pane you just finished. Cleaning the frame, the track, and the screen is what makes the glass stay clear for longer than an afternoon.
Reach sets the limits, and we would rather state them than discover them. We clean interior glass and the exterior glass that can be reached safely from the ground or a ladder on stable footing. Upper stories over a steep grade, fixed glass above a walkout, and anything needing rigging are outside what we take on.
Homes and smaller commercial glass get the same method on different cycles. Entry glass, door lites, and office or storefront glass absorb hand contact all day and show it immediately, so they usually need a shorter interval than a bedroom window on the back of a house.
Glass, tracks, screens, sills
Each pane cleaned with the frame and sill it sits in, because dust left on a sill is the first thing that moves back onto clean glass. Divided lites and grids get the edges detailed rather than wiped across.
Ground level and ladder accessible exterior panes, storm doors, and sliding door glass. Where footing or height makes a window unsafe to reach, we say so during the walk and quote only the glass we can genuinely do well.
Sliding and double hung tracks collect grit, sand, and dead insects that hold water against the frame. We clear them out and check that weep holes drain, because a blocked weep is how water ends up on an interior sill.
Screens hold a film of pollen and road dust that a window wash alone leaves in place, and it washes back onto the glass with the first rain. Removable screens come out, get cleaned, and go back in the opening they came from.
Sprinkler overspray and winter condensation leave mineral deposits that need dwell time and a specific product, not pressure. Most of it clears, though glass etched by years of the same spotting keeps a faint haze, and we tell you which one you have.
Door glass, sidelights, and small commercial storefronts take fingerprints, pet nose prints, and tracked spray constantly. These are worth scheduling more often than the rest of the glass, as a quick recurring visit rather than a full house wash.
What Minnesota puts on glass
Winter writes on the lower third of a window: road salt spray from the street, ice melt splash near entries, and the chalky film left when meltwater dries. Inside, warm air against cold glass means condensation runs down to the sill and leaves mineral rings that need a product with dwell time rather than a hard wipe.
Spring lays a yellow pollen film that smears the moment it is dry wiped, which is why windows cleaned too early in the season look worse than before. Summer brings sprinkler overspray and humid air that keeps dust clinging to the glass, and lake area homes get both plus more insects in the tracks.
For each visit, you can flag what matters most that week—guest room, kid bath, or main-level floors. We will follow your priorities without losing the basics that keep the home feeling clean.
If you are comparing options across the metro, our team can also describe how our approach fits into broader cleaning services in Eden Prairie without pushing you into a schedule that does not match your needs.
01
We walk the outside and inside, count panes by type, and look at footing, grade, and height. That count and the access notes are what the estimate is built from, so there are no surprises on the day.
02
Screens come out, tracks are vacuumed and cleared, and frames and sills get cleaned before any water touches the glass. Doing this first is the difference between clean glass and glass that streaks as it dries.
03
Glass is washed, pulled with a squeegee, and the perimeter and corners detailed by hand where water collects. Mineral spotting gets treated separately, with time to work rather than more pressure.
04
A pane that looks clean from inside can show a missed edge from outside, and the other way around. We check both sides in available light, reseat the screens, and point out any glass with permanent spotting or damage.
What the quote rests on
Window work is priced by the glass, not by the size of the building. Count and type matter most, since a divided lite window with grids takes several times as long as one large pane. Then: interior only or both sides, how many stories and how access works, whether screens and tracks are included, how heavy the mineral buildup is, and repeat frequency. You get the figure after we count the glass.
Common glass questions
We can, and it is the most common request, but it is also where people are disappointed. Exterior only leaves the interior film and the dust in the track, so the window still reads hazy from the room you look out of, which is where you actually see it. If budget is the reason, cleaning fewer windows on both sides beats every window on one.
Late spring once the pollen has largely dropped, and again in fall before the weather closes in. Cleaning in the middle of pollen season means a visible film returns within weeks. Interior glass can be done any time of year, and winter is actually a good moment for it, since the house is closed and the sills show condensation residue.
Often, though not always. Fresh mineral deposits from sprinkler overspray or condensation usually clear with the right product and enough dwell time. Glass that has carried the same spotting for years can be etched, which is physical damage to the surface rather than something sitting on it. We test an area first and tell you which case you are in before quoting.
For a proper job, yes, where the screens are removable. A screen left in place holds pollen and dust that rain washes straight back down the glass, so the window looks dirty again quickly. We take them out, clean them, and reseat each one in its own opening, since screens are rarely interchangeable even in the same house.
Entry and door glass in a working building usually wants attention weekly or every other week, because hand contact and tracked spray land in the same few square feet all day. The rest of the glass can sit on a quarterly or twice yearly cycle. Splitting it that way costs less than treating all the glass the same.
Interior glass is normally included in those visits, and exterior glass is not. A deep clean covers the inside of the windows, sills, and tracks in the rooms being cleaned. After a remodel the glass often needs its own pass because fine dust and adhesive residue behave differently from household soil. Ask and we will scope it as part of either job.
Book the glass
Tell us roughly how many windows you have, how many stories, and whether you want both sides. We will count the glass on site, confirm what is safely reachable, and quote from that.
